Nobody likes to fail. Fear is one emotion that is common to man for many reasons. A little level of anxiety can keep us motivated but constant fear is unhealthy for anyone.
You can tell your experiences are beyond just procrastination but signs of chronic fear when you:
Feel like you won't be able to achieve your goals, procrastinate so much that it affects your performance, keep telling people that you will probably fail so that their expectation of you is low, underestimate your abilities to avoid feeling let down, worry that you will disappoint others if you fail.
